Vessel Shift
For multi facility operations, the Vessel Shift option allows you to perform the following actions:
Add a Vessel Visit Before the current visit in a Complex Rotation (on page 1)
Add a Vessel Visit After the current visit in a Complex Rotation
Delete a Vessel Visit from a Complex rotation (on page 1)
Shift a Vessel Visit earlier in a Complex rotation (on page 1)
Shift a Vessel Visit later in a Complex rotation (on page 1)
Prerequisites
Multi Facility Carrier Operations Option
When you perform any of the above actions, N4 determines how it must propagate data to upstream / downstream facilities based on the value of the setting ARGOVESSEL_INVENTORY_VISIBILITY_PORTWIDE001 (MULTI_FACILITY_VESSEL_VISIBILITY). When this setting is set to PLAN_SAVE, if there is a conflict in plan, N4 updates the Arrival Position of the unit(s) to FIX_POS in the downstream facility to enable planners to take the required decision and proceed with operations
Updating the arrival position to FIX_POS
When both facilities create a SHOB plan for the same container, the last known position and arrival position of the unit in the downstream facility display the planned position as in the upstream facility. When the downstream facility has a SHOB plan and the upstream facility does a discharge plan/move (non-restow), then the Arrival Position of the unit in the downstream facility is updated to FIX_POS. The Arrival Position is not updated to FIX_POS when you perform a Shift visit earlier in complex position action and if the unit facility visit has a single discharge plan.
